As late evening approached, members and guests of Bangkok Young Professionals (BYP) gathered around the Zheng Le Lounge and sparkling poolside at Eugenia Hotel for a night of Victorian Decadence.
We found ourselves in a gorgeous setting. The Eugenia Hotel features the best of contemporary design with a strong classic charm. The hotel embodies the distinctive character of a late-19th century colonial home. Between sips of wine, premium dry gin and beer from Federbrau, we enjoyed conversations with new and old friends. The Asian-inspired Zheng He Lounge had the most luxurious seating, which tempted us to stay there forever as we munched on piquillos and chicken croquettes. It was a picture-perfect evening, and completed by DJ Matt Crepeau who helped us wind down from a long day at work with a playlist of 80s and 90s dance classics.
For many, the highlight of the night was the performance by Dance Legends, which literally lit up the stage with glowing neon lights. We were mesmerised as we let our eyes follow dancers executing a well-choreographed sequence in their stunning costumes. As usual, BYP event organisers held a lucky draw for a spectacular grand prize. On this occasion it was a Picasso wristwatch, the winning of which Elisabeth Lazareff certainly had to mark as a high point of the evening.
