Levels is a very recent addition to Bangkok’s wealth of nightclubs. It’s a double-decker club and lounge situated in the city’s hottest clubbing district, Sukhumvit Soi 11. Fulfilling our duty as your guide to what’s happening in Bangkok, we had to be among the first to venture into this uncharted territory.

We’d been to Aloft Hotel a bunch of times for brunch, an afternoon by the pool and of course for the unforgettable opening extravaganza, but our first time going to the on-site club was still confusing. You see, there’s a separate lift in front of the hotel (not in the hotel) that brings you up to Levels, but noobs will just assume the venue is located inside the hotel. We were lucky to come across a couple of party people who’d already made the mistake of going into the hotel first, and they were nice enough to save us the embarrassment of getting lost.

Apparently Levels is independent from the hotel, but we’re still glad it sits on the same property because it’s an unbeatable location. The club itself is quite stunning with details that are understated and decadent at the same time. A floor-to-ceiling glass entrance gave us a full view of the club, where our attention was drawn to a multi-tiered, colour-changing LED chandelier hanging high above a circular bar stocked with all the alcoholic goodies one could ever want. Although some parts remain under construction, the whole place exudes style.

For the time being, this massive two-level nightclub is anything but claustrophobic, and it’s perfect for those who like having space to dance. We’re sure that when the joint is jumping, it will be endless hours of fun. Levels will be celebrating its grand opening on 11 July.
