Where Thai-Chinese cuisine attains great heights but not at soaring prices.
If you’re looking for a hearty porridge and delicious Thai-Chinese food, Sky High restaurant would be the place. And opening as early as 8am and not closing until 1am, Sky High can accommodate your hunger most hours.
Guests are greeted with a long display of food at the restaurant entrance. There were so many choices I felt a little anxious. I couldn’t choose, they all looked so good!
But remember to order tom yum super kha kai — that’s tom yum soup with chicken feet. Yes, chicken feet. The meat has been cooked for hours and it’s so soft and tender that with just a little bite the meat easily pulls from the bone.
Sky High also has great salted eggs. The yolks are used for spicy salads and are also added in an eggplant salad dish, which really adds a ton of flavour. And their porridge. What I like best to go with a plain porridge is stir-fried vegetables with oyster sauce, crunchy and a little salty. Cockles and deep-fried pork ribs are also very delicious.
One dish costs about 100 baht.
Sky High is located at Building 14-16 Ratchadamneon Road (opposite the Government Lottery Office).
