Urban by Nature Party with DJ Ravin at Park Society
Sofitel So’s sophisticated rooftop lounges and heavenly Parisian beats provide a perfect city escape.

At 29 stories high, the double-decker rooftop bars Park Society and HI SO at Sofitel So Bangkok meet their lofty expectations. While consuming alcoholic beverages at such a high altitude isn’t normally considered the safest pastime, this snazzy rooftop venue makes it the ideal spot for sophisticated night owls who love to socialise at upscale venues with a sweeping view of Lumpini Park and a breath-taking city vista. This was especially noticeable on the night that DJ Ravin, of Buddha Bar Paris fame, gave us a taste of his newest album Urban by Nature.
By the time we arrived, Park Society was already packed and DJ Ravin had started to spin his soulful lounge tunes. We climbed up the LED-lined staircase to the more exclusive and less populated HI SO area where private cabanas set a mellow mood for imbibing libations in perfect comfort. The sounds from DJ Ravin’s set below was soul-tingling and mesmerising. Surrounded by friends and a sparkling cityscape, we couldn’t imagine a better way to spend the night.
We chatted about life and love and we laughed at our failed attempt to dance. It’s always a bit awkward when no one else is grooving to the music. So we plopped back down into our relaxing perches and soaked in the night. DJ Ravin’s compilation of urban tunes tinged with sounds of nature brought us to a happy place. We left the party with our heads in the clouds.
